It’s been a busy year so far for the Engageware team, and as April comes to a close it’s time for us to hit the road once again. We’re heading to Bloomington, MN next week for Barlow Research’s Business Banking Conference, May 2nd and 3rd, 2016.
The show agenda is packed with two days of informative workshops and presentations designed to address some of the key challenges facing today’s banking professionals. The Engageware team will be on hand at our booth in the Lakes Ballroom to discuss current customer needs, service perceptions and ways that banks can improve the in-branch experience and build customer trust in the digital age. Many financial institutions – including Logix Federal Credit Union, Needham Bank, Texas Dow Employee Credit Union, and others – are already building increased engagement and retention with their clients by offering a more personalized experience.
Engageware recently released its State of Banking 2016 Report, which surveyed 2,064 banking consumers to get a better idea of their banking behaviors and perceptions around the common in-branch experience. Results showed that consumers – particularly those in the millennial generation – crave personalized, in-person attention and guidance, especially when making significant financial decisions. Results also point to a need for timely service, with 64 percent of respondents saying they are only willing to wait 10 minutes or less to be helped.
There’s no doubt that today’s on-demand economy is influencing service expectations across the board, and the banking sector is no exception. Smart banks are taking steps to improve the in-branch experience as well as streamline the transition between online and in-store interactions. Our team looks forward to the discussions at the Barlow event next week and to sharing more information on what banks can be doing to retain and build in-branch business in the years to come. It’s sure to be an informative and interesting event!
